Since its inception, Executive Women Outreach has awarded more than $260,000 for scholarships and community projects. College scholarships are awarded annually to outstanding women pursuing their advanced education.
Executive Women Outreach has provided financial support to the Palm Beach Community College Early Learning Center, the Domestic Abuse program, the Girls State program of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Girls II Women mentoring program.
Proceeds from the Women in Leadership Awards events are used for the Executive Women Outreach scholarships, community projects, and the endowment.
EWO Scholarship Programs 2009-2010
EWO’s Scholarship Program also enables us to fulfill our purpose through the award of numerous scholarships to women of all ages seeking higher education. This year thanks to the support of our sponsors, partners and donors, EWO was responsible for 17 scholarships totaling $34,000.
Pathfinders Scholarships - $5,000:
Mary Lou Hilley Memorial Scholarship - $2,500 scholarship awarded to Danna Lauricin.
Pat Pepper Memorial Scholarship- $2,500 scholarship awarded to Tori DeLeonardo.
Post Bachelors Scholarship - $4,000:
Women’s Community Health Partnership Scholarship - $4,000 scholarship awarded to Christina Coakley, attending Palm Beach Atlantic University Gregory School of Pharmacy PhD. program
Named scholarships - $6,000:
Mary Hooks Memorial Scholarship – $2,000 scholarship awarded to Catherine Trivigno, attending Florida Atlantic University
Cynthia Allen Gracey Honorary Scholarship - $2,000 awarded to Tracey Outlaw-Christian, attending Palm Beach Atlantic University
Janet Wolhorn Mentoring Scholarship – $1,000 scholarship awarded to Camesha Brown, attending Palm Beach Community College, Belle Glade Campus
Jan Ecclestone Colby Memorial Scholarship- $1,000 scholarship awarded to Lenore McHugh, attending Palm Beach Community College, Lake Worth Campus
